  • Mindfulness and stress management support.

  • Children's confidence and mindset coaching for ages 7–16.

  • Creative mindfulness sessions for children.

  • Group mindfulness workshops and programmes.

  • School-based creative mindfulness workshops.

Adult coaching sessions are generally delivered online via Zoom.

Private children's coaching sessions are delivered locally, in person, with a parent or carer present.

Individual coaching sessions generally last 45 minutes unless otherwise agreed.

Workshop durations, locations and arrangements will be confirmed at the time of booking.

3. Bookings and Appointments

All sessions must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.

Appointment dates, times, fees and any relevant programme details will be confirmed before booking.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate contact information and notifying me of any changes that may affect their appointments.

For children's sessions, bookings must be arranged by a parent or carer with appropriate authority.

Bookings are confirmed once payment has been received and appointment details have been agreed.

4. Fees and Payments

All coaching sessions, mindfulness programmes and packages must be paid for in advance.

Fees vary depending on the service, session type and coaching package selected.

The full cost of the service, including the number and duration of sessions where applicable, will be clearly communicated and agreed before booking.

Payment must be received before the commencement of the session or programme, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.

For clients purchasing a block of coaching sessions, payment for the agreed package is required in advance.

Any additional charges will be communicated and agreed in advance.

All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP).

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

I understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, and I aim to approach cancellations with fairness, flexibility and understanding.

Clients are kindly requested to provide at least 24 hours' notice when cancelling or rescheduling a session.

Where less than 24 hours' notice is given, a reasonable cancellation charge may apply, up to a maximum of the booked session fee, where permitted by law.

Any cancellation charge will be proportionate to the circumstances, including any loss incurred and costs saved.

I will consider individual circumstances and may, at my discretion, offer an alternative appointment or waive a cancellation charge.

If I need to cancel or reschedule a session, I will provide as much notice as reasonably possible and offer an alternative appointment or an appropriate refund.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory consumer rights.

6. Refunds and Consumer Cancellation Rights

Refund requests will be considered fairly and in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.

For qualifying services booked online, by telephone or otherwise at a distance, consumers generally have a statutory 14-day cancellation period, subject to applicable legal exceptions.

Where a client expressly requests that coaching begins during this cancellation period, payment may be due for services already supplied, provided the relevant legal requirements have been met.

Where a service has been fully performed during the cancellation period, cancellation rights may be affected only where the relevant legal requirements have been satisfied.

Clients may contact info@melheatleylifecoaching.co.uk to exercise any applicable cancellation rights. Where required by law, a cancellation form will also be provided.

Refunds due under statutory cancellation rights will be made within the applicable legal time limits, generally within 14 days of being informed of the cancellation, using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

Any applicable statutory rights to remedies for services not provided with reasonable care and skill remain unaffected.

7. Coaching Packages

Mel Heatley Life Coaching offers a range of coaching packages designed to provide ongoing support, personal development and continuity.

Package prices vary depending on the service selected and the number of sessions included.

Full payment is required in advance, and all package details will be clearly communicated before booking.

Prepaid coaching packages do not have a fixed expiry date. However, clients are encouraged to attend sessions regularly to maintain continuity and support their progress.

Sessions can be arranged at mutually convenient times, subject to availability.

Clients are kindly requested to provide at least 24 hours' notice when cancelling or rescheduling a session.

Any late cancellation charges will be considered fairly and in accordance with the cancellation terms agreed before booking.

Requests for refunds of unused sessions will be considered in accordance with applicable UK consumer law and the agreed booking terms.

8. Children's Coaching and Parental Responsibility

Children's coaching sessions are designed to provide age-appropriate support through mindfulness, creativity, reflection and practical activities.

A parent or carer must be present during private children's coaching sessions.

Parents and carers are responsible for providing relevant information that may affect their child's participation, safety or wellbeing.

Children will be treated with dignity, kindness and respect.

Participation will be encouraged without pressure, humiliation or punitive practices.

Mel Heatley Life Coaching maintains a separate Child Safeguarding & Protection Policy.

9. School Workshops and Group Sessions

Creative mindfulness workshops delivered within schools or other organisations are subject to arrangements agreed with the relevant setting.

These may include:

  • Workshop duration and group size.

  • Appropriate staff supervision.

  • Safeguarding and emergency procedures.

  • Accessibility and individual support needs.

  • Venue suitability and risk assessments.

  • Fees, cancellation arrangements and responsibilities.

School staff remain responsible for their pupils in accordance with the school's agreed supervision and safeguarding arrangements.

Separate written terms may apply to bookings made directly by schools or organisations.

10. Confidentiality and Data Protection

Adult Zoom coaching sessions are not recorded.

Relevant coaching notes may be handwritten and stored privately.

Confidentiality is subject to legal obligations and safeguarding responsibilities. Information may be shared where required by law or where disclosure is otherwise lawful and necessary.
